The next time you find are about to start a new Netflix series, watch some youtube complications, start a fortnite game or read the latest Reddit post, ask yourself: does it matter? If something doesn’t bring you closer to your goals, don’t waste your time.
We spend so much time on the internet doing shit that just doesn’t matter. Doing things that is a ultimate waste of time.
Reality check. How much time have you spent in front of a screen doing unproductive shit? Watching something that will have no positive impact on your life?
Do you want your life to be defined by Netflix marathons, fortnite games, internet debates or sociale media scrolling?
Time is everything.
There is nothing more important than time.
Why?
It’s the only thing you will NEVER get back.
We all got 24 hours. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Success is all about making the most out of those daily 24 hours.
Start taking control of your life by taking control of your time!
To spend productive time on the internet you need to have a productive mindset. Some techniques that will help you take advantage of the useful web-pages out there and get something done with your life. Adapt the following into your life:
#1: WORK - BREAK - WORK - BREAK
To stay productive you need to start working in timeboxes and schedule rest in between.
Timeboxing is simply fixing a time period to work on a specific task. Instead of working on a task until it’s done, you commit to working on it for a specific amount of time.
To help you stay focused during the working periods you can download StayFocusd.
When you are resting feel free to find platforms where you can relax. This can be Netflix, gaming, go outside, etc. Whatever makes you relax and think about other stuff.

#2: THE ANCIENT “TODO LIST”
There is a reason everybody knows what a todo list is. The standard todo list is stupidly simple and incredibly effective. Write down what you have to do, prioritize the list by difficulty and how important the task is. No need to get to fancy. Use a simple note app, or just use a paper and pen.
The best way to get things done is to plan concrete time for getting things done.
Follow these steps to set effective to-do lists.
- At the end of each day. Write down the things you want to accomplish tomorrow.
- Order your tasks by importance.
- The next day, concentrate only on the first task. Don’t move on to the second before you are finished with the first one.
- When the day is over, move unfinished items to tomorrows list. Plan the upcoming day.
- Eat, sleep, repeat.
TIP: On Sundays create a note for each day in the upcoming week. Whenever you get a task that can be performed better later in the week, write it down on e.g. TODO Friday.
#3: PRODUCTIVE WEBSITES
“Good artists borrow, great artists steal” - Pablo Picasso.
Why experience everything yourself? Why learn everything from scratch?
NO! Learn from the people who have mastered it.
Challenge: Schedule 15 minutes each day to learn something.
