Hi Friends!
A desperate Sunday eve...

My friend’s birthday party was
cancelled. He called and dragged me to nearby sports stadium. With my
headphones on, I sat among the crowd with no interest.
It was a 100m dash.
8 boys stood on the track to
race.
Ready!!!
Steady!!!
Bang!!!
With the sound of pistol all
started to race. They hardly would have covered 10m.
A boy was crushed in the hands of
faith. He slipped and fell in a loud booming voice. I shouted “Oh No” he
started crying due to pain. All the other heard him and stopped the race and
stood for a while, then turned back and ran towards him.
They lifted him up, pacified him,
joined hands and walked all together to finish the race.
The entire stadium was shocked
and most of them run into tears. I was pathetically under confusion. My friend
then explained to me that the race was conducted by National Institute of Mental
Health and all the participants were mentally challenged.
My lacrimals reacted at that vary
instant.
A deficit in their mental ability has branded them as retarded, but they had not been retarded in the abilities of Team work, Humanity, Sportsman spirit, Love, Care and Equality.
At the vary instant, I thought we
surely can never do this because, we have brains, we have attitude as well.
